.Wakil Shinwary has written a number of academic researches, analytic, political and literary topics, which have been published in several Afghan Literary publication works in and out of Afghanistan.

Dr.Akbar Akbar is a poet as well as an author of short fiction. By profession he is a medical doctor who has also worked as a journalsit for many years. 

Pir Mohammad Karwan is a well known Pashtun poet. So far, he has published three collections of poetry by the names: La Masha Tar Mashama, Chinar Khabari Kawee and Da Shapiray Warghawai. 

Safia Haleem is the author of a great many short stories yet we have seen  two collection published, NEEMGARAY ANZOOR and Da Deway Pa Ghaizh Ke  Safia Haleem highlights female characters in her literary fiction.

Dr. Ihsanullah Hair is among the first of pashto fiction writers to emerge in Afghanistan. He began writing short stories during 1950's and soon thereafter published his short story collection by the name of RANZOOR

Zareen Anzor is one of the more active writers of Pashto fiction. Although he has obtained his degree in Journalism and has written a book on Afghan journalists, he is better known as an author of Pashto short stories.

Ghaos Khaibaray, now in his seventies, continues to actively write novels. He is the first Pashto novelist to be accredited with writing a historic Novel.

Mohammad Siddiq Pasarlay is a poet who has had a numerous number of books published. Thus far over 700 of his Ghazals have been compiled into two books by the names of Mata Shpailay and Da Nay Kossa .

Saduddin Shpoon is an innovative author of Pashto fiction whose talent remains unparalleled. His superior prose and sketches separate him from his contemporaries and award him a class of his own.
